CARIBBEAN-LABOUR-Regional bipartite workshops come to an end.

BRIDGETOWN -- The series of national bipartite workshops organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO) in conjunction with the Caribbean Employers' Confederation (CEC) and the Caribbean Congress of Labour (CCL) will come to an end during the next week.

The ILO Caribbean office said that the final workshops will take place in Barbados; St Vincent and the Grenadines; Guyana; Suriname; and Trinidad and Tobago during the period September 21 to October 2.

The three-year project was funded by the European Union (EU) and was intended to build the capacity of Caribbean regional workers' and employers' organizations allowing them to make substantive contributions to policy-setting aimed at regional development and the integration process.

The organisers said the workshops will provide a forum for employers' and workers' organizations to understand their role in the project, to air their concerns on national social and economic issues...
