CRICKET-WOMEN-WI 'ready and prepared', says VC Campbelle.

Vice-captain Shemaine Campbelle believes West Indies Women's performance in the Twenty20 series has given the side motivation ahead of the One-Day International series which bowls off Sunday (7:35 pm Saturday, Eastern Caribbean time).

While the Caribbean side lost the T20 series 2-1 last week, they produced a remarkable run chase in the second game, overhauling 213 in Sydney to level the series.

They were also carried by astonishing form from captain Hayley Matthews, the right-hander plundering 310, with scores of 99 not out, 132 and 79.

'Coming out from the T20 series, there are a lot of positives that we can take out and take into this ODI series,' Campbell said.

'I think all the girls are ready and fully prepared for tomorrow's game so it's just for us to go out there and express ourselves, and play the brand of cricket we're accustomed playing.'

She added: 'Everyone is in a good space. We have confidence in ourselves and it's just to go out and express ourselves tomorrow.'

While Matthews flourished, the remainder of the West Indies batting line up struggled in the T20 International series.
